1985 Mazda 323 5 door Hatchback

1985 mazda 323, 1.5lt engine, mileage 195000km, auto trans. Problem; car will start normally at first however when the engine reaches normal operating temperature and the car is turned off it will NOT re-start. The engine turns over but very slowly as though it has a flat battery, however the battery is brand new. The car has had a reconditioned head put on recently.
