Truck started running rough. Low on coolant so added more, started smoking white. No milky substance anywhere, I still need to pull plugs. Check them for milky substance and compression. Noticed oil level high so drained oil and coolant was found. If I have good compression and no milky substance on plugs, what do I check next?

Hello, I'm Danny.

It sounds like you might be having head gasket issues. That would be why you are noticing coolant mixed in with the oil and also why the coolant is disappearing due to it being burned during the combustion process. Here is a tutorial for you to view explaining head gasket issues:

Shop labor rates are usually around $100.00 an hour. The book shows eight hours labor so I would estimate roughly $1,000.00 for the repair. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
