1990 LINCOLN TOWNCAR 210000 MILES 4.6 V8
I RECENTLY REPLACED MY BATTERY, AND NOW MY CAR WILL NOT STAY RUNNING. THE BATTERY WAS OUT OF THE VEHICLE APPROX. 30 HOURS. CAR STARTS RIGHT UP BUT WILL ONLY STAY RUNNING
IF YOU "GIVE IT THE GAS'' BUT IT WILL NOT IDLE. COULD THIS BE A COMPUTER PROBLEM. HOW CAN I RESET IF SO?

you might try driving it and see if it corrects itself. The computer may need to relearn during a trip cycle. If it stalls trying to drive, may have another problem. Fords are notorious for harness plug problems. They have a wiggle test, wiggle the harness wires by plugs to components in engine compartment. This may help and if any were disturbed when battery was R & Red, I would definitly try.
