Purchased a 1996 Lincoln Town car. Car three months ago. Car drives and stars fine 98 % of the time. However on two occasion I put the key in the ignition and it would not turn over the starter. As a result the engine will not start. Checked Battery and it appears to be fine.

The ignition would not start the car. No sound no nothiong. After few hours the car started like nothing was ever wrong. I am far from being a mechanic, but I thing it has to do with the anti thift device, which disables the starter and engine. The problem is I don't lnw how to reset the anti thift device. I purchased the car used, and no manual was available.
