When driving my car this morning it started jerking forwards and backwards, the power steering went out, I started coasting. I could still hear the engine running but nothing else was working. Then the engine died. I was able to restart it and go about another mile or two before it happened again. What could be wrong? I just had the starter replaced and the transmission gasket as well. I don't even have and idea as to where to begin to look. Help!

Hi,

Not sure but just wondering if maybe the engine temperature rose during all of this and if you have checked your serpentine belt. If it went you would lose power from your alternator and your power steering would go. Basically, your car would be running off of the battery and maybe thats why you were able to start it up again and drive it a little ways before it died again. Please email me at khaan86@yahoo. Com and let me know if this helps.D
