1997 Lincoln Mark VIII #6 Hole Misfiring
Electrical problem
1997 Lincoln Mark VIII V8 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 86000 miles
Hi. My car is intermittently misfiring on the #6 cylinder. I have changed the spark plugs, #6 coil pack and fuel injector with the same results, it still misfires. I've ran the codes on it and it still says it's #6. I assume its in the wiring harness or computer now. Are there any known problems with this and where should I start looking if it is in the harness?

My compression is good but still have the problem. Also, I tested #6 coil pack lead with a tester and detected a misfire in the coil pack lead. Is there a common place that these wires rub that I can check? When it is running on all 8 it runs really strong. Thanks for the quick reply

Could be the crankshaft position sensor causing the misfire at 6-check and test or the computer
