Suspension problem
1999 Lincoln Continental V8 All Wheel Drive Automatic

My air ride system come on while driving and stays on a long time and I brake the wheel grinds, grabs and stops. When the steering wheel is turned, grinding very loud noise in front left wheel. Had the abs check no codes showed. Was told struts are needed. Please help

Are you saying my air ride system should converted to manual ride system. Your response was not clear. Your response did not indicate if struts were needed. Your response did not indicate any resolutions, other than saying new parts may be needed. what parts are you referring to. can you send a picture diagram of air ride system and struct system for 99 cont. lin?

From what you've described, it sounds like you have an ABS problem....rather than air suspension. You could still have a problem with the ABS which doesn't produce a code in the memory. A bad sensor and/or incorrect air gap is just two possibilies.
