I recently installed a new radiator. However the car is overheating and it seems that the water is not circulating. Maybe the thermostat is sticking, and I need to locate the thermostat. If necessary should I change the thermostat. The car was bought in Canada and may have differences with the US models.
Why else should the car overheat.
I did bleed the system.

The thermostat on this engine is located at the lower hose, not the upper like some vehicles

replace it, cheap part. After that to check the water pump, wait for the engine to be hot and then hold the upper radiator hose, if pressure builds up and you feel and hear water rush past it it is good.

See the diagrams below for location of the thermostat

It's not in there it's on the front of the engine behind and slightly above the A/C compressor on the front of the engine where the bottom hose goes to the engine

Where is the location of the thermostat? Is it in the front of the car near the bottom because thats the only place I saw that looked like at thermostat location but the thermostat would be mounted perpendicular position of the hoses.

Thanks for the help

I found this prior posting from 2carpros master tech rasmataz:

"Near the alternator up front of the engine it really always help to look at the new part before you install helps to locate it. From the driver's side at the bottom of the radiator the hose runs across to the passenger side of the car. it turns up into a housing with a secondary smaller hose coming out the side of the housing. If you remove the 2 bolts holding this housing together you will find the thermostat inside with an O ring seal that has to be replaced in the right position when you reinstall the new thermostat."

And I am also adding this picture:

You are right hardtime72, thermostat is below of the motor, next to A/C. Thanks a lot for all your comments, now I have another question for this same Lincoln Continental 95, as you may know this car have a suspension system controlled by compressor, you know what kind of dampers I will need to replace the original suspension system in order to use oil or gas dampers? Most of the local mechanics told me that they need to review with different kind of dampers due is necessary verify the stretch/compression to put the correct damper model, could you please help me with this detail? I want to replace this system controlled by compressor because since I buy my car this system is out of service due a missed or damaged parts and I think that will be very cheap replace the dampers instead to fix the original suspension.

You would need to start a new question for that problem.

Try checking below

near the alternator up front of the engine it really always help to look at the new part before you install helps to locate it.
From the driver's side at the bottom of the radiator the hose runs across to the passenger side of the car. It turns up into a housing with a secondary smaller hose coming out the side of the housing. If you remove the 2 bolts holding this housing together you will find the thermostat inside with an O ring seal that has to be replaced in the right position when you reinstall the new thermostat.

When you stand in front of your car you see the radiator, on the right hand side you see that big black hose that is connected to the radiator and then goes to the engine and the end has that hose clamp, take of the 2 bolts and your thermostat is there, just be sure to drain you antifreeze first and take off the hose clamp.

Removal & Installation
1.Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2.Remove the lower radiator air deflector.
3.Partially drain the engine cooling system.
4.Slide the hose clamp out of the way and disconnect the lower radiator hose from the water inlet connection.
5.Disconnect the hose from the water inlet connection.
6.Remove the two bolts.
7.Remove the inlet connection.
8.Remove the O-ring seal and the water thermostat. Inspect the O-ring seal for damage and install a new O-ring seal if necessary.
9.To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten to specification
good luck
