1997 Lincoln Continental V8 Automatic

I have changed both the altenator and battery twice in 2 days but the battery light is still on and im still running straight off the battery the altenator wont kick on. it has been tested and test good. yes there is power to it and all fuses are god. why wont it work? we are stumped

Check all these fuses mega fuse 175amp and fuse no.20 10amp in the power distribution box and fuse no.5 10amp in I/P fuse panel. If all okay-Remove all wiring from the alternator-Do you have these color wires on back of the alty black and orange, yellow and white, light green and red. If so the black and orange & yellow and white should have battery voltage and the light green and red should have less than battery voltage. If there's no voltage on the light green and red and fuse no.5 is okay either you have an open light green wire and red to the charge indicator or the charge indicator/resistor is defective.
