I have a 96 Lincoln Continental. The battery light has been coming on and flashing on and off. Now the cars dashlights and A/C will stop working radio still plays. After about 5minutes the car dies? After it sits for a couple hours it will start and drive. We replaced the alternator 12 months ago. What could be wrong?

Scan the car for codes, you may have a hybrid electonic cluster starting to fail. When it runs, check the output of the charging system, use a voltmeter accross the battery, you want 13.8-14-8 volts, with the A/C on. if you get less than that the alt, battery cable, or battery are suspect. Car needs a minimum of 10 volts to operate the modules.
