Hello, I have a lincoln continental 1988 3.8 engine. My problem is that the engine wont start regurlarly at startup, in order to start starting fuel of regular fuel has to be sprayed into the intake then it will turn on and run normarly. If fuel is not added then the engine wont start. Does this car uses a starting or cold start injector if yes where is located at.thanks

Do this find the inertia switch behind left rear quarter panel near air suspension switch and test for power at the pink and black wire-No power have the integrated control module and the ECU tested. Have looked for the fuel pump relay couldn't find it-I believe its the IRCM that does the switching Inertia switch

IRCM

The Integrated Relay Control Module (IRCM) interfaces with the Electronic Engine Control (EEC-IV) system to provide control of the cooling fan, Air Conditioning (A/C) clutch, and fuel pump. The module also contains the EEC power relay to provide power to the EEC-IV system, and the fuel pump relay to provide power to the fuel pump.
