im putting motor from lincoln in a late model mustang i have distribator wires brown,orange and black. where do these wires go to to hook them up?

the wires you are talking about go one to ground (black) and two to pickup coil. But the car still won't run. YOu need the whole system including the ecm to make it work. Your best bet is to see if a company like Pertronix offers a hall effect switch that you just hook up in the distributor in place of what you have now.......
