1993 Lexus SC 300 sc300 idles too high
Engine Performance problem
1993 Lexus SC 300 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 197k miles
just bought this sc300 and it idles too high-2000 or2100. when i start it i have to hold the gas for a couple of minutes or it dies. then the high idle starts,at about 2400 then decreases to 2000 or so. in gear with my foot on the brake the idle is still about 1100.

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve could be sticking
