1997 Lexus LX 450 Repair Question

Need tune up and cat converters
Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Lexus LX 450 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 185000 miles
Hi to all,
I really need help on my 1997 Lexus 450.
I have been told by local mechanic that I need a tune up for $ 500. Engine service light came on
( Error code p0304 came up on computer) and both cat converters ($ 1400)
I have been unemployed for 8 months now and simlpy do not have this kind of money.
How difficult is it to install the cats myself and exactly what would I need to buy / install for a tuneup?

P0304 is a misfire on cylinder no.4-could be a sparkplug, compression, and injector problem on that cylinder.
Tune-up replace the sparkplugs, wires, and if its a distributor ignition system-replace the cap and rotor-to include fuel and arifilter
C/Converters the only way to rule it out is to get an exhaust analysis this will tell if the catalytic converters are doing its job
