Brakes problem
1999 Lexus LS 400 V8 Two Wheel Drive 59000 miles

I have just replaced the brakes on all four wheels on my 99 LS 400. After doing so, I still get the brake wear warning light on my dash board.

Do you know if this must be reset in some fashion or do you believe I have a problem with the sending unit? I also had a problem with a false message for my windshield washer fluid, saying it was low when it was full. I disconnected the sending unit at the base of the reseouvour and now it does not come on.

How can I get the break wear warning signal to go off.

thanks

Jim

Check the owners manual with regard to any reset procedures, if none, then the sensor is bad or wiring to it.

Another procedure would be to scan the car with a chassis scanner (ABS or "C" codes). This will tell you if the sensor is bad.
