I installed a hitch to tow a small trailer and I need to wire it up now. I found the wires going back to the rear of the car but there are far more than I need and they are difficult to trace. Does anyone have the wire color codes for the running lights, turn signals, and brake lights?

Ok first you will need a universal tail light converter as you have seperate turn and brake lights. So you wire to the converter and then that will leave you a 4 wire flat for the trailer. Now here is the wires in question. I will indicate wire color as such if it black the it will be blk if it is blue with an orange stribe then it will be bl/or ok. Here is is left turn is grn/blk left stop is red/wht and left tail is ppl (purple). Now right side is as follows turn is grn/yel and stop is red/wht. Now you will only need to tie into one stop and one tail or park light wire the so pick the side that is easiest then go from there. Thanks.
