Last couple of days I felt a shimmy in the front, then today felt like a drag on the vehicle. The front brakes engaged and did not release, both sides were smoking hot, I let it cool and did not have the problem the rest of the ride, but it was not the first time during these last few days. What should I check?

With both fronts locking up I would not suspect caliper or brake hose problems, I would look closely at the brake pedal under the dash to make sure the brake light switch is not holding the brake pedal down a little. You can try pulling on the brake pedal and see if you hear a couple clicks, that would be the brake switch adjusting. Also look under dash and see if maybe a alarm module or some wiring is caught behind brake pedal where the brake light switch is. Hope this helps
