2006 Lexus IS 250 Frequent Brake and Tire Replacement

2006 Lexus IS 250 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 49000 miles
I purchased my lexus used with 7,400 miles in Oct 2006. Since then I've replaced the brakes 3X (going on 4th) and the tires 3X. (to date I've racked up 49,000 miles). Is this normal?

Hi there,
This is rather excessive, i would make sure that the alignment is correct and have the brake pressures tested, also make sure that quality brake pads are fitted, as cheap pads will cut out very quickly.
