1.Drain engine coolant. 2.Remove two water inlet mounting nuts, then water inlet, thermostat and gasket, Fig. 43. 3.Install new thermostat in water inlet housing with jiggle valve facing straight upward. 4.Install new gasket and water inlet to inlet housing and torque nuts to 78 in. lb. 5.Fill engine with coolant, then start engine and check for leaks.
