1995 Lexus ES 300 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I'm having noise issues at the rear. I had replaced 2 engine mounts in which the mechanic said thats where the noise was coming from. It did nothing, although the mounts did need replacing. The only time that I don't hear it is when I'm driving hwy speeds. Bumps, rough roads is when I hear it. I thought it was loose exhaust, the exhaust is fixed. I thought suspension, so I put wieight in the rear and tested it and no noise at all when coming up or down. Any suggestions?

Hi getsmakked,

Thnk you for the donation.

Noises are never easy to detect, more so online.

From the symptom description, the noise seems to be from the struts or undercarriage linkages.

I would suggest checking the stabilizer bushes and links for wear and excessive clearances.
