Is this bracket only supposed to be held to the transmission with one bolt on the side? This bracket has an additional 3 other holes that line up with 3 on the transmission body. But those holes have no thread. The mount itself has 3 that are used to bolt it down as well as the center hole that takes a long bolt to connect the mount and bracket together. 1 bolt to hold the bracket to the trans seems like it would bend easily. So is it a bad designed and it really only takes 1 bolt?

Hello, I'm Danny.

Can you take a picture of said bracket with your cell phone and upload it here? That would give me a better idea for comparison with my schematics. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.

This is what I have. I believe the bracket I have on now is the wrong one but it looks just like this bracket. Only the OEM number ends in AF on mine but I believe it should end in AD.

Hello again.

Yes, it must be a bad design! Here is what I found from AllData. I've attached the picture below. If the hole is hollow maybe use a smaller nut and bolt to reinforce. If not hollow maybe use a tap 1 size bigger and add a bolt. Poor design. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
