I have water leaking from underneath the car onto the ground. Sometimes it happens on the driver side but mostly the passenger side. Is that normal?

Hi,

It could be normal but we need to inspect this water and see if it has any color to it or is it just clear water?

Also, is it hot outside and do you have the AC running when you see this water (or did you have the AC running if you find it after you are parked)?

It could just be condensation from the AC system but we need to qualify it just to be sure. You can also take a picture of the water and submit that and I will have a better idea.

Thanks

The liquid is clear with no smell or color. It happens when I shut the engine off after driving and and the car is parked. Also I have my heat on at times.

Okay. This sounds like condensation from the air conditioning system and possibly the exhaust. This is absolutely normal. The AC system will condensate when it is running and then when you park the vehicle the remaining water on the system will drain off onto the floor. Also, the exhaust will "sweat" as well and can leave this water on the floor.

If you are concerned about it, just check the level of your fluids but again, you will not find this clear liquid in any of your systems unless you put just straight water in your cooling system which is never recommended so I am sure this is just the normal water that comes off these two systems.

If you want to take a picture of it and let me look at it, I will be happy to take a look but I am sure it is fine based on what you described.
