Hey guys, got a knock sensor gone bad on my car. And of course it is the one in the back of the engine in between the engine and transmission. (Bank two I think) My question is, is it possible to replace it by just taking off the the transmission pan and oil pan?

I just looked it up it says to remove the transmission to replace it. Not sure if there was a way around that. Maybe slide the transmission away enough to clear the sensor.

It seems ridiculous that you would have to remove the transmission to replace it.
