Knobs for AC/Heater fan, defrost not working

My AC comes on and blows air, and the fan comes on at max. When I turn knob to lower fan, nothing happens. When I change temperture to higher or lower then the fan speed changes itself then sometimes I can turn the fan knob up or down.

If this is auto temperature control a mechanic needs to scan for codes to find the problem. Kind of sounds like it is.

Thanks for reply. I did a scan and came up with the following error codes: P0442 - Evaporated emissions system leak detected (small leak) and P1135 - Air-Fuel sensor heater circuit response malfunction.

You have to h ave a mechanic scan this those are engine codes not hvac. Auto parts scanners cannot pickup the codes that are effecting your heater.
