Check engine light came on> went to Auto Zone for diagnostic>Low coolant, thermostat, or CTS.

Changed thermostate and the Check Engine Light went off. Came back on six months later (last week).....Little heat so I changed the thermostat again>The new(old) one was stuck open. Removed the battery ground to reset the fault. Everything ok until two days ago>the light came back on.

I bought a new CTS WT5137 from Auto Zone but how do I remove the connector? There is a rubber boot on a two way connector that appears to connect to another connector housing that connects to the CTS. I cannot figure out how to disconnect the connectors. Please help. I have a PIC if you want me to send it.
Thanks for advise in advance or can you email a blow up detail of the area.?

Hi Chris. Napolski,

Thank you for the donation.

At the edge of the connector there is a spring clip. It is wrapped around the connector locking it into place by the 2 ears of the sensor.

Get a sharp pointed object to pry the clip outwards and the connector can be removed. You would have to remove the clip one side at a time and while doing so, wiggle the connector sideway to release the clip.
