2004 Kia Spectra Replace Alternator

How do you replace the alternator? It appears that you have to remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Is it possible to replace the alternator without removing something else?

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
ALTERNATOR
REMOVAL
Disconnect the battery negative terminal first, then the positive terminal.
Disconnect the alternator connector (A), and remove the cable (B) from alternator "B" terminal.
Remove the power steering pump.
Remove the power steering pump bracket.
Remove the adjusting bolt (A) and mounting bolt (B), then remove the alternator drive belt.
Pull out the through bolt (C) and then remove the alternator (D).
