A few weeks back someone poured sugar into my gas tank , i had the tank dropped, cleaned, fuel inlet tube cleaned and new fuel filter. The car was running fine after that until now. The other night i went to pull out of my driveway and the car started shaking very hard and the check engine light came on (blinking) I tried backing the car back into the driveway and it would barely move. Next day i tried again and now the CEL is on solid but the car is still shaking and now there is a tapping sound coming from below the valve cover. Is my car toast or could it just be clogged injectors from the sugar entering the fuel lines? would clogged injectors cause the tapping sound if fuel wasn't reaching the cylinders? I don't think the car would make it to the local parts store to get the codes read. EDIT: OK i hooked up a code reader and it read P0302. Meaning #2 cylinder misfire. Still doesn't tell me much as there could be a dozen different things causing that. ANYBODY? PLEASE!!!!
