My 16 year old drove the car through some water. It will turn over but won't start. All of the lights and radio will work when the battery is charged but it will not start. My neighbor said that it sounded like an anti theft system problem because the car isn't getting any fire. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Dianakieran,

It is not easy to diagnose your problem and I can offer only some suggestions.

How high was the water level when the vehicle was driven over it?

Did the engine stall while being driven over the water or after?

It could be water getting into some of the sensors and shorting them as they are rather sensitive.

The crank angle sensor is located very low so would be the first to give way.
