For the last couple of months i have not been able to fill the gas tank on my Kia. The pump automatically shuts off, even if I try to continue pumping, when the tank is about 2/3rds full. There is no physical damage anywhere around the tank, and it runs well.

There is a check ball where the fuel enters the tank. Its purpose is to avoid fuel leakage in the event of a roll over. It could be sticking and causing the fuel to back up in the fuller tube and shuting the pump off. Also, there is a breather hose that runs along the filler tube. It is a smaller hose. Make sure it isn't plugged or damaged.
