My daughter was told that her intake manifold was leaking coolant as she noticed her coolant level was a little low every couple of weeks, is this a common problem or would it more likely be a thermostat housing or sending unit or something else? I live in a different town than her so I'm unable to take a look at it for myself. I just didnt want her spending alot of money for something she didnt need. Thank you.

I do not know much on your rig, is this a inline 6 cylinder?

If so, If its anything like a CJ, some of the later CJs and even aftermarket, the only way Radiator Juice can get into or out of the intake is thru a "IN" and "OUT" heater-hose (this is to warm the fuel mixture)----there is no water connection thru the engine and intake mating surfaces. Is this the case with yours?

If yours is like the CJ--either you have a leaking hose loose fitting or a crack on the intake. You might get by with "STOP-LEAK" if the CRACK IS NOT BAD, or replace the intake itself

I'm sorry I do not know your rig well, but I saw your question sitting for a while, I know what its like not to have your Jeep ready to go!

Did you possibly write your question incorrectly?
