Brakes problem
2002 Jeep Wrangler Automatic

Whenever i start up my car my brakes will always be really sensitive for the first like 10 minutes, but after that they're fine.
is there something wrong with them? or is it just my car taking time to start itself up?

Is it the front or the back? can you tell? I've had issues after offroading with debris in the rear drums. It could be that there's something gumming up the shoes in the rear that works lose as you drive... interfearing with the springs inside the drums?

Just a thought...

Like the other person said, chances are it's the rear brakes. If they get a glaze on the brake shoes and the drums, they will grab for a short time then start working ok. To fix the problem, have the drums cut and take some sand paper to the shoes to remove the glaze. That should take care of the problem.
