Ok Gentlemen, '99 Jeep wrangler. When I apply the left turn signal it blinks both rear lights. When the brake is applied both tail lights light, but no blinking. When I try the right turn signal it works perfectly with or without the brake applied. I have changed out all the bulbs and checked the wiring(as best I can) and it seems to be intact. Any ideas?

Hey, Babybuf did you get an answer to your question? I have the same problem with my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I have been trying to fix it for some time now. I have changed out the bulbs, I even disconnected the third brake light on the tire carrier. I hope you get an answer because I need to fix it, it is driving me crazy. Oh if you can please answer me at billp. Nwic@nezperce. Org

thanks
Bill

After a ton of investigation I discovered the previous owner did a hatchet job on the wiring when he tried to splice in the towing connection.

Bottom line I had to replace the wiring to all the lights in the rear. Now I have no problems.
