I put a 2 1/2" lift kit on it and now when I turn to the left at around 45-50mph. The steering wheel jerks from side to side and it also is wearing the outside of the right front tire out.

By the sounds of your problem you need an alignment. If your turning a corner and and it feels like your tire shifts either making it easier to take the corner or harder you should have the tierods and ball joints checked. Do you run over size tires or have hit any large pot holes because this could knock it out of alignment.
