See my profile. Eespecially, my negative reputation point. Has Jeep been sitting awhile?.......Maybe all lube has drained down, moving parts are dry.

Its NEW to you, perform ALL SCHEDULED MAINTENENCE as if it has NEVER been done !

To me, it doesn't matter what you were told by previous owner........some peoples SO CALLED MAINTENENCE is not up to my standards.

They will put in incorrect lubricants.......skip the REMOVE COVERS, INSPECT, DRAIN, CLEAN, and REFILL TO THE SPECIFIED LEVEL WITH THE CORRECT LUBRICANT.

AT MINIMUM------- CHECK AND TOP OFF ALL FLUIDS......engine and all under hood....front and rear differentials.....TRANSMISSION and TRANSFER CASE (the later 2 is concern now)

A CHILTON or HAYNES MANUAL for your year and model will guide you thru all I have mentioned here.

Study the INDEX and every thing will fall into place.

I am a CJ GUY....lots of CJ manuals, I am not real familiar with your rig......Do know your basic systems.

I have only owned CJs. Driving since 1981. I have rebuilt several of mine from the ground up.....others too. I really know my CJ stuff. I got my, out of necessity, start with a CHILTON MANUAL.

I am an unpaid member here, as you are. I am here to help you the best I can, just keep replying.

I can send you pics of some of my modifications if you send Email address here, or at Private Message (if it allows you)

Take good care of your jeep...mine always takes care of me.

Love, Turddog
