the clutch is not let me put it in gear what could be wrong

see my profile, Check the following:
See if any linkage, at the bellhousing is bent, broke, missing.
You may have to bleed air from the clutch system.
Your Clutch "master cylinder" may be defective and require replacement and bleeding.
Your "slave cylinder" may be defective.
