ENGINE STARTS, BUT SHUTS WHEN I RELEASE IGNITION SWITCH. WILL RUN WITH STARTER FLUID OR GAS PUT INTO THROTTLE BODY MOUTH. I REPLACED FUEL RELAY, PUMP, AND FILTER. IDONT HAVE FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE, BUT SEEM TO HAVE GOOD PRESSURE AT LINE GOING INTO THROTTLE BODY. LOOKED FOR VACUUM LEAKS AND TIGHTENED BOLTS ON INTAKE MANIFOLD. IS THERE A WAY TO VERIFY FOR CERTAIN THAT THERE ARE NO VACUUM LEAKS OR SUCKING AIR AT INTAKE? I ALSO REPLACED THE EGR VALVE. THANKS

What you need to do here is check and test the ignition switch. The ignition circuit could be open-Do this fire it up -when it dies leave key in the ignition and check for power at the coil positive terminal, do you have it?

Okay -this time when it dies out leave the key at On position and check for power at the coil positive-if nothing there -the coil primary circuit to the key is open or the ignition switch is defective
