I recently replaced my stock 258 with a 258 out of a Jeep J-10. And I am finding that there are diffrent plugs and wires on my Wiring Harness on the Wrangler. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with the wiring on the newer motor and the stock 1988 Jeep wrangler wireing Harness.

Going back that far?? You should not have that much trouble. What you area going to run into is that the plugs do not match which you already know. Two ways to handle this. One is to replace the sensors in the engine such as water or coolant temp, oil pressure and what have you with the sensor from your wrangler engine or yoiu can just cut the leads off the jeep harness and reattach the leads from the old engine, i would opt to install new sensors then you have new sensors and no wiring connections to make. Hope this helps you and let us know how you do. Thanks Curt
