1996 Other Jeep Models Brake lights

Brakes problem
1996 Other Jeep Models 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 121,00 miles

On my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited the brake lights stopped working.

The brakes seem to be working just fine.

I've replaced ALL light bulbs.

Where should I look next?

What is the most likley cause.

Hello; Sounds to me like it may be a fuse. Also some brake lights are fused thru another fuse. Is everything else working??? If all is checked ok i would look at the plug in under neath The light plug ins are under the inneer fender liner, There is a push tab retainer right at the corner of the vehicle. Pull this down and fold back. There should be a light plug in just above this sheild. Let me know where this gets you ok.

It turned out to be the "Brake light switch" on the brake pedal.
