Hi there;

I am planning on having my vehicle undercoated due to some rust in the underparts, the jeep was origionally used in Vermont, so I guess the salt and snow caused the rust. My question is, what is the best undercoating to use after the surface rust is removed of course? Ive been told the rubberized undercoats are not good as they lock in moisture causeing more unseen rust.

Thank you!

Honestly, I recommend reviewing the manufacturer's warranty for rust. If I remember correctly, if you undercoat the vehicle, it voids the factory warranty.

If you choose it do it, I would contact Zebart or the equal for their recommendation. I live in PA and we have bad weather 5+ months of the year. I drive a 1993 dakota with 217K on it and the underside still hasn't rusted. The bottom of the doors have started, but in general, everything is still solid.
