This is making me nuts. Four mechanics, new tires, brakes and rotors all around. This only happens once in awhile. "If they can't hear it they can't fix it". I hear a muffled thump followed by a rubbing sound then a squeaking/grinding another thump and the noise is gone. Till the next time. I thought it was in the rear but now almost positive it is in the front right wheel. The rubbing sound slows and speeds with speed of vehicle.

Noises are the most difficult problems to locate and it can be frustrating. Sorry you changed tires, brakes and rotors. That was not fair they make you change those things
I can give you a list of things that could make Rubbing squeeking and grinding noises to check :

Worn, Damaged, or Faulty Stabilizer Bar Bushings
Loose or Broken Steering Stabilizer Bracket.
Broken or Weak Coil Springs
Worn, Damaged or Broken Pinion Teeth
Lower Ball Joint SocketS Need Lubrication

let me know what they find.
