2001 Jeep Laredo garnd cheroke won't star

when i turn the key everithing goes on , you know the lights, all the messeges on the dashboard, well then when i turn the key all the way it wont start, just dead, one of my friends plug the battery straight to the starter and i start it like nothing, does anybody knows whats wrong

I need you to check something. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check the smaller wire on the starter. You should be getting 12volts. If you don't, check the starter relay. It's in the power distribution center under the hood.

Let me know what you find.

it was a sensor from the transmission, it wasnt make good contact,it was the one that send the signal, when the car is in park or drive,, i just have to replace it, thats it [quote:6fcfa5feed="Jacobandnickolas"]I need you to check something.
