My Jeep had a high idle (1050 rpm). It started fine until this morning. The engin turne over, ran for about 3 seconds and then shut down. I noticed that none of the gauges were working when the engine was running for those 3 seconds. I was able to rev the engine up to a igher idle during that time but the idle speed wasn't showing on the tach. The fuel gauge read empty even though there is 3/4 of a tank of gas. The oil gauge wasn't working nor were any of the other gauges. Even the "idiot" lights that usually go on when the ignition switch is turned on didn't light up. I know the Jeep is getting power because my lights work, the horn works, the radio works, all the power options (seats, windows, locks, mirrors) work, the fan for the heater and AC works. I'm at a complete loss and hope you can help me. Not even th check engine light comes on. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
