Engine Mechanical problem
1980 Jeep Laredo V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual
I am asking for help please 1980 cj 7 304 v8 new coil, icm, wires spark plug cap rotor k & n air filter new fuel filter and fuel pump. The problem started about 2 months ago. after good warm up drove 5 miles jeep stalled. restarted ran fine until i got home. then no problems for a couple of days then at the same exact spot from home it did it again and i had a bad time trying to start. finally after the engine was cool and poured gas down the throttle body she started and got me home with alot of backfires and a few stalls. intake manifold bolts and carb were a little loose not much so i tightened them down. now engine wants to fire but wont catch. starts a little then dies. good spark good fuel vacum hoses ok. HELP the sun is out and i cant drive my convertable cj and get dirty. THE HILLS ARE CALLING. Thanks in advance for any input.
