Engine Mechanical problem
1980 Jeep CJ7 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual n/a miles

I have an 80's modle cj7 jeep I replace the wiring on it and got the motor to turn over but not fire off. Then last night I went out and turn the key over and heard a pop. Now it won't turn over and I have no lights or anything the battery is good and don't know where to start. Please help me. I don't have alot of cash so trying to fix it my-self.
Thank You

Check for 12V at solinoid......then check smaller wires leaving solinoid that are connected to battery side of solinoid, pull (TUG) each one up to a foot away, if the insulation stretches out (LIKE NO WIRE INSIDE), this means the FUSIBLE LINK (or fuse type wire) is burned in half, this is a SAFETY wire, to prevent your wire harness from catching on FIRE !!!!, ....REPLACE it with correct fusible link......CHECK THIS CIRCUIT (THIS WIRE FEEDS) FOR A SHORT CIRCUIT !!!!!!!!.....Love Turddog

You might get past fusible link (CHEAT BY IT AND STAY PROTECTED) by installing an APPROPRIATELY SIZED FUSE IN THE LINE using 2 female wire connectors and a 1980's type square fuse......AS IN TOP OF MY PIC......DISREGARD THE REST OF PIC as it was used to do a dimmer switch test for another question I helped on
