I have a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4 w/ABS and 209k miles. Recently, I changed my rear break pads and saw oil on the inside of the wheel facing the the hub assembly. first I checked to see if I had a breakline leak, but that was not the case. I then checked to make sure it was not some sort of grease. That too was not the case. I dont think the car has a cv boot. Where can this oil be coming from?

you have an oil leak somewere and what it's doing is everytime you start your motor your fan is slinging oil inside your weel somehow.or it could be that the oil is trikleing down to your wheel.
