1998 Jeep Cherokee has a very LOUD squeal when cold. Squeal seems to come from engine/belt area, but belt has been replaced and adjusted 4 or 5 times with no result. After driving 5-6 miles (usually at 35 mph) the squeal is not as loud, but still there. Squeal is loudest when gas is applied or going up h ills. Squeal is not as loud when "coasting."

The Jeep should have a serpentine belt, I would get the tensioner arm and pulley replaced, and while the belt is off, check all pulleys for and binding...if any are bining fix those problems too.
