How to change battery terminals on 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I'm trying to change the battery terminals on my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee but want to make sure I'm doing it right before i proceed.

I have new battery terminals. The old ones are disconnected from the battery.

The cables are in the current terminals. Do I just cut the wires and clamp them into my new terminals? Or is there a way to disconnect the wires from the stock terminals?

u need to cut the old ones off
install the new one s and try to seal them if posible
