I have a problem with my 95 jeep grand cherokee. Like an idiot I pressure washed my engine, only for a few seconds. But afterward my check engine light came on. My RPM's have a mind of there own now. Is it my TPS sensor. And it acts like its going to die sometimes. Kind of like when you first learn how to drive a stick when you let the clutch out wrong and the car starts hopping. Whats wrong. And can I do a self diagnostic?

Do a diagnostic by turning the ignition key from off on off onoff on leave key on, the check engine light will flash the codes! 2 digit codes will read as a series of short blinks then a short pause then another series of blinks, count the blinks! When you gat a 55 code you are at the end. On some older models 33 will be the end.
