I hear what sounds like the front suspension is loose over washboard roads and certain small hoes. I have had both Jeep and Firestone look at it and nothing. Jeep found a worn out bushing on the axle. They changed them all out but the sound remains. I have been looking around on the Internet and have seen some people saying it was their swaybar bolts that wore out in an oval shape. Note: there is no play in the steering wheel when I hit these bumps just the awful sound of something loose. Any help would be appreciated. SSgt Manwell

I have had this same thing to myself on my own Jeep. After careful inspection I had found it to be on the rear leaf springs. This a bracket or like a band that goes around the leafsprings. Look there to see if they are loose. They tend to rattle during these types of conditions that you are describing. I believe the noise you are looking for is there.
