i was driving my 2002 jeep grand cherokee limited (4.7L v8) down the street when suddenly the car died and my rpm gauge started jumping around.. i pulled over and some white smoke was coming out of my exhaust pipe.. i tried to start the car and it wouldnt turn over.. i checked all the fluids and they were all good but the engine coolant is brown and there is brown mud looking gunk under the radiator cap.. my oil and everything was recently changed and still looks wonderful but cant get the car to start, it turns but doesnt kick in?[img:2517b840ca]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/544446_20100624_204605_1.jpg[/img:2517b840ca]

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine atleast 3/16 away from ground-have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs, coil's resistances, cap and rotor, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
